Welcome! I value your interest in what I am into and up to these days. God has invited me on a life journey that has included cancer five times since 1986. Currently I am neck deep coping with the fifth one which has been the toughest of them all. I am trying to be realistically optimistic as I embrace the grace inherent in life trials.
I invite you to enter into the core of what I have learned by coping-hoping. This includes being blessed profoundly by fellow cancer survivors. The 26 stories of these special people are found in the “cancer nuggets from survivor – thrivers” section.
Thanks for stopping by. May you move on with a renewed desire to maximize your own “you-nique” life too!!

Sister Sue
I remember you as Sister Marie Susanne, my teacher at Marywood Academy oh so many years ago—–and at the top of the list, your explanation of “enthusiasm” as meaning “in-theos”, or “in-God”!! You exemplified that every day I knew you, and it looks like your enthusiasm has only grown with time. Theresa Pearce told me about you as you ministered to her dad last year, and I knew I had to find a way to say your lifelong joy continues to ripple through thousands of lives!
Love always,
Anne (Rupp) Camblin
If anyone can accept God’s humor it is you who have been given this same gift by God. I know you are resonating with this loving God whose humor toward you is mysterious at present.
You are indeed in my thoughts and prayer. PEACE, Elaine DesRosiers
Dearest Sister Sue, I hope you know what a inspiring impact you have had on many lives. You have touched many of my residents hearts and brought them happiness with your inspiring talks. Personally you were there for me in my time of need up in the hospital for my grandaughter years ago, I will be forever grateful for you coming into my life. I have included you in my prayers and I just would like you to know how special you have been to me and that it has not gone unnoticed or unappreciated. You have been an amazing instrument of God and I thank you both! Love Always! Debbie Hoyt ( Previous Lincoln Square Activity Director)
